Types of Totem Signs

• Single / Double-Sided Illuminated Totem

  

  An internally lit vertical totem; the double-sided version reads from both directions of traffic. Double-sided is close to essential at a roadside; single-sided only works where the back sits against a wall or building.

• Modular Cassette Totem

  

  A separate cassette per tenant. In malls, business centres and industrial estates a single cassette is swapped when a tenant changes. When a tenant changes only that one cassette is remade — the totem is neither dismantled nor repainted.

• Monolith Totem

  

  A solid block rising from the ground with no visible posts — suited to contemporary architecture. Because the body reads as one piece, the foundation and structural calculation matter more — wind load passes straight into the ground.

• Fuel Price Totem

  

  A forecourt totem with LED price digits, updated remotely so no one has to change panels by hand. Prices change daily, so LED digits are both faster and safer than sending someone up to swap panels.

• Residential Development Totem

  

  An entrance totem carrying the project name, block diagram and site plan together. Visitors and couriers see the block number at the gate, so nobody has to drive around the site looking for it.

• Wayfinding Totem

  

  A series of totems guiding visitors step by step across large sites such as hospitals, campuses and factories. It is planned as a series rather than a single sign, and only works while the typography and arrow language stay identical at every point.

• Slim-Profile Totem

  

  Tall and narrow in section, for locations with a tight frontage or limited pavement. Where pavement width or council limits rule out a wide totem, it buys visibility through height instead.
